DigitalNation BMS — Repair Jobs

The customer handed you a mobile.

“Bhai, ready by tomorrow evening?”

You nodded. Took the phone. Wrote a number on a slip — #14.

Then another customer came. Then another, then another. A laptop, two mobiles, a tablet.

Now you have 14 slips, four different boxes, and no idea which belongs to whom.

Five days later, a customer walks in:

“Bhai, my mobile?”

You ask for the slip number. He forgot. You describe the colour. He says “it was black, but that’s not mine.”

Ten minutes of argument. The customer is upset. An hour to find the phone.

Somewhere, some other customer’s mobile may have already been handed over.

DigitalNation BMS (Business Management Software) ends this.

The customer arrives. You create a “New Job”.

In fifteen seconds:

  • Customer name and phone
  • Device type (mobile / laptop / tablet)
  • Brand and model
  • IMEI / Serial number
  • Device password (if any)
  • Issue — what’s wrong
  • Estimated cost
  • Promised date
  • Photos — of the device

The system gives a job number. Done.

Customer arrives now? Search by IMEI or phone. Two seconds. All details on screen.

Every mobile in one place, every job clear, no confusion.

Every job, a complete record

In BMS, every repair job comes with:

  • Job number — auto-generated, unique
  • Customer — name, phone, contact
  • Device — type, brand, model, IMEI
  • Device password — if kept safe

  • Diagnosis — your assessment (optional)
  • Estimated cost — what was quoted
  • Final cost — after completion
  • Payment — received, remaining
  • Status — received / in progress / ready / delivered / cancelled
  • Promised date — when to hand over

One job — full history, full protection.

Frequently asked questions

Is a job card mandatory for the customer?

Not mandatory, but strongly recommended. The card is proof for the customer, and reflects your professionalism.

Why record the device password?

If the customer provides the password, keep it safe — so you can access the device during work. Inform the customer once done.

Can the final cost exceed the estimate?

Yes, but inform the customer first. The system helps you prepare a WhatsApp message.

What if the customer doesn't come to collect the device?

The job stays in “Ready” status. You can send the customer a reminder. If it drags on, follow your shop policy — note it in the customer ledger if possible.

Is there a separate record for warranty repairs?

The job record includes warranty claims. If the product is under original warranty, link it from the Warranty module — your loss becomes zero.

What if the customer cancels the job?

Use “Cancelled” status. Return the device — with delivery confirmation. The record stays preserved.

Can one customer have multiple jobs?

Yes. One customer can have multiple jobs — each with its own number, device, and cost.

Important notes

💡 Always enter the IMEI When receiving a mobile, always record the IMEI — it’s your strongest proof.

💡 Take photos Upload the device’s photo (including damage). If there’s a disagreement later, the proof exists.

💡 Give the customer a job card The card should have the job number, device, and promised date. It reassures the customer.

💡 Keep the status updated Started, in progress, ready — update at every stage. You’ll know; you can tell the customer.

💡 Confirm delivery Signature or photo. This small step saves you from a big problem later.

💡 Keep warranty repairs separate If the product is in warranty, link it with Warranty — it’s to your benefit.
